… as an Artist in Residence
…we will take deep dives into Creative Writing or the topic of your choice, whether for a week, a month, a semester, or longer. In that time. you and/or your group will have blocks of time to work on practicing new tools and techniques, as well as taking deep dives into a specific project or experiment using different methodologies. Whether situated in a bustling urban studio, a remote national park, a school classroom, or other gathering place, this residency acts as a "creative incubator" where the primary expectation is exploration rather than immediate commercial output or gradable units.
The enthusiasm and interest of our students was unbelievable. Every student had success during these sessions. Every student was engaged, and every student wanted to keep working. We were very honored and pleased to have all this time with Ms. Rathbone. She has inspired us to continue teaching and facilitating through STEM learning. We plan to expand our current science lab with STEM kits for all ages and grade levels. We want to prepare our students for the world outside of school and this is just the beginning.
